This was my first stay and I’ll be coming back. Viejas is now an amazing gem and makes me proud to be originally from SD. Visited for one night and paid ~$130 all in. Nice hotel staff and casino staff, and a lovely room. The buffet is expensive (~$39) but one of the best buffets in San Diego (haven't tried other casino buffets however) and better than some Las Vegas buffets. The property has some nice cafes with pastries, great sandwiches, and Starbucks coffee. We also had a nice view of the pool from our room. The large glass shower was great, the mini fridge was actually not so mini but roomy and kept things cold, you get 2 free waters in the room, lovely decor, a big soft, comfy bed, and service was good! The room has a posh feel and was super clean! We felt secluded and comfy-just wish our room was a few feet larger and that we had a microwave. The Deluxe King room was small compared to many of the Hilton and Marriott properties we have stayed, but what was lacking in size was made up for in amenities. Our floor was packed, but we hardly heard or noticed our neighbors because the walls were thick and it just seemed nice and quiet. We enjoyed oue stay at the Viejas Resort.
